We’re joining forces with the Far West community for an Exclusive Leadership Training at the beautiful Camp Stein in Prescott, Arizona!

The Highlights:

  • The Big Meet-Up: Connect with Jewish teens from across California and the West Coast

  • Community: Experience an uplifting, high-energy Far West Shabbat filled with music, Ruach, and new friendships

  • Who: Grade 8-12

  • Convention $199 CAD (Register before September 15th, 2026- $249 after September 15th)

The Midbar USY Community (AZ, NV, CO, UT) is hosting the Far West Leadership Training Institue of 2026.

Who is going?

This West Coast Leadership Training Institute (LTI) is open to all of USY. We are sure to see our Far West friends, Lower Mainland friends, and New Frontier friends. We are inviting all Chapter boards, teen leaders, and future leaders. If you are interested in great programming, fun activites, an awesome Saturday night, traditional and creative services options and more, this is the convention for you. This programming is leadership focused, developed and led by Community Board Members.

Pricing?

The early bird price for this convention is $199, after 9/15 the price will go up to $249. 

When registering: 

Please note, as this is the first convention of the 26-27 year, when you go into the registration platform, you will need to either create your account or review and confirm your information forms, then you will be able to add convention to your chart. 

TRAVEL OVERVIEW:

USY will be proving bus transportation from the Phoenix airport. Please read through the below information to make sure you have all the info you will need. 

 

FLIGHTS

Flights are purchased individually and can be entered in your registration. Consult with your Community Director, Richard if you need any support! rrotman@uscj.org

 

If you would like to fly with staff, please book the following flights, further outlined in the registration

 

Flying to Phoenix 

 

Air Canada 1770 leaving from Vancouver (YVR) at 8:50am PST to Phoenix (PHX) landing at 11:53am MST.

 

Flying to Vancouver 

 

West Jet 1741 leaving from Phoenix (PHX) at 4:35pm MST to Vancouver (YVR) landing at 7:55pm PST.



If you would like to explore other flight options, please fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport no later than 12:00pm on Friday October 16th. Please book flights to go home no earlier then 5:00pm on Sunday Oct 18th. USY will provide transportation to and from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

Where will I stay at Convention?

We will be at the amazing Camp Stein in Prescott Arizona. This is up in the mountains so prepare for cooler AZ weather, and higher elevation.

What will we do at the weekend?

Throughout the weekend, we will celebrate Shabbat, participate in traditional and alternative services options, enjoy leadership programming sessions, an amazing Saturday Night program, and a great time with friends.​

What about food?

Delicious Kosher meals will be provided throughout the weekend.

What about bedding?

As this is a camp, you will be sleeping in bunkbeds. You will need to bring a sleeping bag or linens, a pillow, and a towel. If you would prefer, you can choose to add the linens package (without the towel) to your registration for $45 USD.
