LMUSY is going to California!

We’re joining forces with the Far West community for a Shabbaton in sunny San Diego, followed by a magical day at Disneyland!

The Highlights:

  • The Big Meet-Up: Connect with Jewish teens from across California and the West Coast

  • Community: Experience an uplifting, high-energy Far West Shabbat filled with music, Ruach, and new friendships

  • The Grand Finale: An exclusive LMUSY Sunday at Disneyland! Whether you’re there for the rides, Mickey or the fireworks it’s the perfect way to cap off our California adventures 

 

The Details:

  • When: April 17–20th

  • Where: San Diego & Anaheim, CA

  • Who: Grade 8-12

  • Convention $200 CAD (Register before March 5th, 2026- $250 after March 5th)

  • Join our group flight for $571 by March 2, 2026 (Spots limited) or organize your own transportation

  • Convention Registration Closes March 31, 2026

FAQs

Where is the Convention and when does it start/end?

The Convention will be housed at a hotel and using event space nearby in San Diego. The Convention in San Diego will start in Friday April 17th and end on Sunday April 19th. LMUSY participants will go to Disneyland in the morning of April 19th for the day and fly out of Santa Ana Monday, April 20th. 


How will I get there?

CONVENTION COST DOES NOT INCLUDE FLIGHT

You can join our Group Flight by March 2nd, 2026 (Spots are limited- and come on a first served basis) or organize your own flights. 

  • Group Flight is between YVR (Vancouver) and SNA- John Wayne Airport (Santa Ana).

  • If you organize your own flights you will need to fly into San Diego International Airport before 1pm on April 17th and Fly out of SNA after 12pm on April 20th.

Options include flights, trains, and drop off at the hotel in the Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego. 

  • TRAIN: Must arrive 4/17 by 1:30pm. Depart 4/19 no earlier than 2:30pm.

  • FLIGHT: 4/17 flights must arrive by 1:00pm. 4/19 flights must depart no earlier than 4:15pm. Flights should be coordinated with your Youth Director.

  • CAR: Teens being dropped off at the hotel should arrive Friday between 2:00-3:00pm. Pickup Sunday will be from a location in the same neighborhood as the hotel at 1:00pm.

Any transportation booked outside of these parameters will be the responsibility of the participant.

 

Are there scholarships available? 

Yes, don't let cost stop you. Grants and subsidies available within the registration form. The earlier you apply the more funding is available.

Where will I stay at Convention?

We will be staying at a hotel in groups of 4 teens per room. 


What will we do at the weekend?

The weekend is all about building community. We’ll start by joining the Far West convention on Friday and Saturday to celebrate Shabbat and meet new friends from all over the West Coast. Between social action activities, food, and a fun Saturday night program, there’s never a dull moment at this teen lead Shabbaton. Plus, we are ending this epic weekend with our LMUSY Special: Disneyland Day on Sunday!
